One of the central focuses of the ProSport method is the stimulation of one of the bodies major feedback systems called proprioception. Specifically there are special nerves located in your joints that provide feedback to the brain. This feedback gives the brain information that allows the joints to be able to maintain balance and/or correct their (joints) position in order to avoid injury or enhance physical performance. Proprioception is what allows a pitcher to be able to throw a strike, because the pitchers' joints "know the way" if you will. It is this ability to sense where the body is in time and space that Proprio-reactive training is based upon. As we continue to work with both professional and aspiring athletes, it has become apparent that not only does an athlete have to sense where they are in time and space but they have to do it quickly. Athletes have to react to a stimulus quickly in order to be able to reach higher levels of performance. It is the ability to react quickly to the chaotic environment of sport that Proprio-reactive training and it principles are based upon.

Key Benefits

bulletIncrease an athletes ability to sense their position and react to it instantaneously
bulletDecrease the chances for injury due the ability to "feel" what position is right.
bulletElevate performance because of the ability to control body position which has a direct correlation to agility and coordination

Capabilities

Because ProSport merged these two terms first, we are light years ahead of the competition. We continue to search for and explore more ways that we can create an environment that is proprioceptively rich.  ProSport also has the advantage of working with professional athletes as well as amateur athletes from all types of back rounds and sports. This large data base allows us access to more clientele; enabling ProSport to hone and develop this precious skill.
