About

My name is David J. Buchanan and I am a Kinesiotherapist with twenty-six years of experience in the field of Sports Training and Rehabilitation. I’ve had the opportunity to work and study alongside a wide variety of specialists in physical medicine. During this time I tested new theories against conventional physiological principals. This became the foundation for all of my future work. I pursued the belief that alignment through balance and vestibular command was the key to sports performance development. These ideas became the genesis of a discipline called Performance Medicine tm.

Because I’ve been trained in the medical field it is only right that my discipline is a mixture of sport and medicine. Performance Medicine has become the channel by which I can apply and teach my beliefs toward sports enhancement or malfunction. The joining of these two, medicine and performance sparked me to give birth to the Performance Foundation System tm (PFS) and classes, which have now become my hallmark. The goal of the PFS through Proprio-reactive Training tm is to fine-tune the neural network into a smooth proficient machine, regardless of fitness prowess or physical challenges.

These experiences led me to the understanding that training and rehabilitation protocols must be individualized, not only to the presenting goals and symptoms, but also to the PERSONALITY and ATTITUDE of each patient. This approach promotes patient interest and the establishment of a powerful rapport between patient and therapist and, therefore, a high rate of patient compliance.

I continue to develop my trademark of Proprio-Reactive Training tm while I dedicate myself to the building of ProSport Training and Rehab., Inc.
